Coca-Cola & Pepsi inspired — a quick homemade cola-style soft drink recipe. Refreshing, fizzy, and easy to make.

Ingredients (for 4 glasses)

• 4 cups sparkling water (chilled)
• 1 cup cola syrup (or homemade, recipe below)
• 2 tbsp brown sugar
• 1 tsp lemon juice
• Ice cubes (as needed)

Optional: Homemade Cola Syrup

• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup water
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tsp cinnamon powder
• 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
• 1 slice fresh orange peel

Instructions

1. Make the syrup (if homemade): In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat until dissolved. Add vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and orange peel. Simmer 5–7 minutes, then strain and cool.
2. Prepare the drink: Fill each glass with ice. Add 1/4 cup cola syrup per glass. Pour 1 cup sparkling water slowly to preserve fizz. Add a splash of lemon juice.
3. Serve: Stir gently and enjoy immediately. Garnish with a lemon slice if desired.
