Dough
- 250 g all-purpose flour (≈2 cups)
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 150 ml warm water (≈2/3 cup)
Sauce
- 200 g tomato paste (≈3/4 cup)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp paprika powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Topping
- 150 g mozzarella, shredded
- 50 g cheddar (optional)
- Pepperoni / chicken / vegetables (to taste)
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Make the dough: In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add olive oil and warm water gradually. Knead until smooth and elastic (8–10 min). Cover and let rise for 60 min.
- Cook the sauce: Heat olive oil, sautรฉ garlic until fragrant. Add tomato paste, oregano, basil, paprika, pepper, and sugar. Simmer 5 min; set aside.
- Shape: Punch down dough; roll into a 25 cm round. Place on a lightly oiled tray or pan.
- Assemble: Spread sauce, sprinkle cheese, add toppings, then more cheese.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 200°C / 392°F. Bake 15–18 min until crust is golden and cheese is melted.
- Serve: Rest 2–3 min, slice, and enjoy!
Tip: For a thicker “pan pizza” vibe, brush the pan with 1–2 tbsp oil and let the shaped dough rest 10 more minutes before topping.
