Recipe: How to Make Premium Grilled Steak
Ingredients:
- 2 thick-cut beef steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or your choice), about 8-10 oz each
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the steak: Remove steaks from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to reach room temperature. Pat dry with paper towels.
- Season: Rub olive oil evenly over both sides of the steak. Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic, and smoked paprika.
- Preheat grill: Heat your grill to high heat (about 450-500°F / 230-260°C). Clean and oil the grill grates.
- Grill: Place steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side without moving. Flip and grill another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare (internal temp ~130°F/54°C). Adjust time for desired doneness.
